The rules!

All of Crownit, in one page. The whole trust model is: a completed payment is what claims a rank.

Rank is bought, not earned

Listings are sorted strictly by how much they paid, highest first. There is no algorithm, no upvotes, and no editorial judgment. Rank is recomputed from the amounts every time the board is read, so it can never drift.

$1 minimum, $999,999 maximum

Whole dollars only — no cents, so the board stays readable. The floor to appear at all is $1.

Taking an occupied spot costs $1 more

To take a rank someone already holds, you must beat their amount by at least $1. A bid that doesn't beat anyone is still accepted — it just places wherever it sorts to.

Ties go to whoever got here first

If two listings hold the same amount, the earlier submission keeps the higher rank. Ties are never ambiguous and the order never re-shuffles between page loads.

Same link = top up, not a duplicate

Listings are keyed by their normalized URL. Re-submitting a link that's already on the board raises that listing instead of creating a second one, and you pay only the difference between your current bid and your new one.

Your rank can shift before payment lands

If someone else's payment completes while you're at checkout, your listing still goes up — at whatever rank your amount sorts to at that moment. We never take your money and refuse the listing.

Nothing is listed without payment

A listing only exists once a payment has actually succeeded. Unpaid submissions never touch the board.

Links are checked against a domain blocklist and a keyword pass. Anything ambiguous gets flagged for a human rather than silently rejected.
